Three Palestinians officers were killed, and several others were injured early Sunday when an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of Palestinian security personnel east of Gaza City, only hours after another Palestinian was assassinated and three others wounded in ongoing Israeli violations of the “ceasefire,” now in its 178th day across the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources stated that the bodies of the three slain Palestinians, along with multiple wounded, were transferred to Baptist Hospital in central Gaza City and the Shifa Hospital in the west of the city, following the strike near Al‑Shawwa Square in the Gaza city’s Tuffah neighborhood.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli drone targeted a group of Palestinian security officers stationed near the square, killing them and causing several injuries.

Medical officials confirmed the identities of the three slain officers as Ahmad Abu Shawish, Mohammad Sweirki and Ramzi Shawwa.

The attack came only hours after Israeli warplanes carried out an assassination targeting Ali Ahmad Al‑Amarin, 36, by striking his vehicle at the entrance of Al‑Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, killing him, and injuring several civilians.

Israeli forces also opened fire in multiple areas behind the so‑called “yellow line,” in yet another violation of the ceasefire.

On Saturday, a Palestinian woman, Sabah ‘Odah Al‑‘Amour, died of wounds she sustained several days earlier when Israeli forces opened fire near the “Well 19” area south of the city.

Earlier on Saturday, a Palestinian man was killed, and three others were injured when an Israeli drone fired a missile at a vehicle in central Gaza. Other areas of the Strip were subjected to live fire and naval shelling.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the Israeli army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement that has been nominally in effect since October 10, 2025.

With Sunday’s casualties, the total number of Palestinians killed since October 11, 2023, has risen to 715 killed, and 1,968 injured, in addition to 756 bodies recovered from destroyed areas.

Over the past two years, Israel—backed by the United States—has waged a devastating war and genocide against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, killing more than 72,291 Palestinians, and injuring at least 172,068, in addition to causing the destruction of destruction of 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure.
