As the army continued its wide-scale invasion of Tulkarem city and Nur Shams refugee camp in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, Israeli soldiers continued extensive invasions and destruction of homes, the abduction and injury of many Palestinians, and demolished one home.

The soldiers continued Thursday, their massive invasions of homes, causing serious property damage, and continued the deployment of sharpshooters on rooftops.

The destruction did not only target homes but also many shops and stores, in addition to the destruction of infrastructure, including streets, water, and electricity networks, in addition to the massive detention, field interrogations, and the threats against detainees and their families.

At dawn Thursday, the soldiers invaded an apartment building in the southern area of Tulkarem city and searched the apartment, causing damage, in addition to detaining and interrogating dozens of Palestinians.

The army also deployed sharpshooters on the rooftop of the invaded building, in addition to invading Thannaba suburb, east of the city, and Shweika, north of the city.

In Nur Shams refugee camp, the soldiers dropped leaflets informing the Palestinians that the refugee camp was under curfew “until further notice” and threatening to shoot anyone they see in the streets and alleys.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics treated seventeen Palestinians who were injured by the army in Tulkarem City, Tulkarem refugee camp, and Nur Shams refugee camp.

The PRCS said thirteen of the wounded were assaulted and beaten by the soldiers who interrogated them and added that most of them suffered various fractures.

It also stated that one Palestinian was shot with a live round and three suffered shrapnel wounds, adding that the army stopped its ambulances and prevented them from entering the area under the pretext that they needed to “coordinate with the International Society of the Red Cross which coordinates with the army to allow the PRCS medics through.”

In addition, the soldiers demolished the home of Gheith Shehada in the Al-Joura neighborhood in the refugee camp.

It is worth mentioning that Shehada was among the five Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers on December 17, 2023, in Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem.

After ensuring Nur Shams was surrounded and isolated, the army pushed many additional military vehicles into it before the soldiers began massive invasions and violent searches of homes while interrogating and assaulting dozens of Palestinians, including the elderly and children.

The soldiers were seen detaining hundreds of Palestinians and using many homes as military posts, interrogation centers, and monitoring towers.

The army also stopped and searched Palestinian ambulances, especially in the Shweika Junction area, north of Tulkarem, in addition to stopping Palestinian journalists, including Palestine TV vehicle and crew.
