The United Nations reported that the onslaught on the Gaza Strip has been especially devastating for children, with more than 13,000 Palestinian children killed.

This figure was also provided by UNICEF, which stated that data was collected by UN staff in Gaza focusing on nutrition, in coordination with all relevant UN agencies.
The UN also pointed out that thousands of children have become orphans or were separated from their parents during the 15-month-long onslaught.
Yasmine Sherif, Executive Director of the UN Global Fund “Education Cannot Wait,” said in a press conference that 650,000 school-age children were deprived of education and that the entire education system needs to be rebuilt due to extensive destruction in Gaza.
