Sources at the Executive Force formed by the Hamas-led Palestinian Ministry of Interior, reported that three members of the force were injured by a shell fired at their vehicles, and five were abducted in separate attacks.

The recent incidents of renewed violence in the Gaza Strip came as several factions and figures are attempting to reduce tension between Fateh and Hamas gunmen, and end the ongoing armed conflict.

Local sources reported that gunmen carried two separate abductions in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, and abducted four members of Hamas and one member of the Executive Force. 

In a separate incident, three members of the Executive Force, which was formed by the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Interior, were injured after gunmen fired a shell at their vehicle.Hamas accused members of Fateh of carrying the abductions and the shelling.Sources at the Executive Force stated that three of the abducted members were released, and efforts are being carried out to secure the release of the two other members.

Moreover, mediation efforts conducted by the Islamic Jihad, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, secured the release of five Hamas members who were abducted by Fateh members last night in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Official sources reported that the National Dialogue Committee will hold a meeting in the coming days in order to hold a special session for talks on forming the National Unity Government after Hamas and Fateh expressed primary willingness to start a new round of talks.
