The Ofer Israeli military court, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, extended the remand of Palestinian Author and media writer Mohammad Al Qeeq for the fourth time since he was kidnapped by Israeli forces.

Al Qeeq was detained for several hours at the Container roadblock between Bethlehem and Ramallah and then moved to a detention facility on June 4 of this year..

The court has renewed the detention of Al Qeeq four times since he was abducted by the army and the Israeli prosecution has failed to press charges against him to date.

Dozens of Palestinian reporters were kidnapped by the army and were imprisoned for different periods of time, a direct Israeli violation of the freedom of press affecting Palestinian writers and intellectuals.
