Head of Palestinian General Intelligence Service Major General Majid Faraj reviewed the latest developments in security, for the Palestinian region, with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, in Moscow.

According to the PNN, they also discussed recent developments in the deterioration of independent Palestinian sovereignty caused by Israeli practices such as night raids.

The meeting pertained to cooperative efforts in the field of security, as well as international and regional issues based on the historic Palestinian-Russian relations. Russia was also the first global superpower to recognize the independence of Palestine in 1988.

A statement released by the Press Office of the Council said that “Nikolai Patrushev discussed with Faraj issues of security cooperation with Russia and Palestine in addition to a number of topics on an international and regional agenda.”
