Soldiers on Thursday afternoon prevented reporters from entering the Gush Katif settlement bloc in the Gaza Strip while the army removed settlers and right-wing activists from their hotel headquarters.
The Israeli online daily Haaretz reported that soldiers detained and handcuffed two journalists covering events at the settlement. One of the journalists, Viko Atuwan, works for Israeli TV Channel 1. The other, Adi Yisraeli, is a photographer for Israel’s Maariv newspaper.
