Palestinian security sources and witnesses confirmed, on Tuesday, that Israeli forces conducted multiple invasions, across the West Bank, detaining at least nine Palestinians.
The Palestinian News and Info Agency reported that Israeli forces detained three Palestinians, including two former prisoners, after ransacking their homes in Kafr Ra’i town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin. Forces also detained another Palestinian from the neighboring town of Yaabad.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military force invaded Qalqilia city, and rounded up another former prisoner, after storming and thoroughly searching his house. In Jerusalem district, an Israeli military offensive was carried out in Biddu town, northwest of Jerusalem city, resulting in the detention of yet another former prisoner.
In Bethlehem district, Israeli military vehicles stormed al-Dawha area, southwest of Bethlehem city, where soldiers detained a Palestinian. One child was photographed being detained in Bethlehem, no more information was available at the time of reporting.
In the meantime, in Hebron district, an overnight Israeli military raid was conducted in Beit Awwa town, southwest of Hebron city, resulting in the detention of a Palestinian. Two others were rounded up as they were refurbishing a Palestinian house in Wadi al-Hassin in the old section of the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
The detainees were identified as employees of the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee (HRC), which rehabilitates Palestinian houses in the old city to help Palestinians maintain their presence in the most tense and volatile cities in the west Bank.
