The Israeli army arrested 400 Palestinian residents since Israel stated its “First Rain†offensive on Saturday, including dozens of political leaders, candidates for municipal and legislative elections, and journalists.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that soldiers arrested 69 members of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad overnight, in Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus and Jenin.
Also on Tuesday, soldiers arrested the coordinator of the Qatari Red Crescent Society in the West Bank; Samer Al Nimir, 42, was arrested in Al Biereh city near Ramallah, after the army invaded Sateh Marhaba area.
In a separate incident, troops detonated a home in Qabatia, north of the West Bank, earlier on Tuesday after invading the town and breaking into dozens of homes.
The leveled home belongs to Kamal Kamil Abu Zeid, military armored vehicles also destroyed a taxi which was parked neat the home of Abu Zeid.
