An extremist settlers group attacked, on Saturday morning, dozens of school girls near Beit Hadassah settlement outpost in the West Bank city of Hebron.

Students of Qortuba primary school for girls in Hebron said that settlers attacked them while they were on their way to school and hurled stones and rotten eggs at them, while soldiers, intensively deployed, in the area did not attempt to stop them.

Feryal Abu Haikal, school headmaster, stated that the settlers increased their attacks against the students and residents in Hebron, while soldiers are protecting the settlers instead of countering their attacks.

Abu Haikal appealed humanitarian organizations in the city to interfere in order stop these violations, which are endangering the lives of the students and residents in the city.

In a separate incident, settlers attacked several homes and orchards, in Wadi Al Nassarah, and Wadi al Hossein areas, adjacent to Keryat Arba’ settlement, east of Hebron.

The settlers also attacked dozens of residents while picking their olives, and cut the leaves of dozens of olive trees in the area.

Earlier on Saturday, Israeli soldiers detained dozens of students of the Polytechnic University in Hebron, and searched them in a provocative way after detaining them for several hours.

Dozens of students of the Hebron University were also detained and searched for several hours after the soldiers forced them against a wall close to the main entrance of the university.

Also, dozens of intersection and junctions were closed in Hebron and the surrounding villages, especially in the Old City of Hebron, and areas in the north and south of the city.
