The Palestinian Ministry of Interior reported, on Wednesday, that a Palestinian officer died in Soroka hospital in Be’er Shiva, of wounds sustained last month during a raid against drug dealers in Gaza.
The killed officer is from Dir Al Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
The ministry stated that ten police officers were injured after raiding a house which belongs to drug dealers and exchanging fire with them; two suffered serious injuries.
Also, the ministry added that the raid was carried out in coherence with the security operations which intend to fight drugs and drug dealers.
One of the main drug dealers in the Gaza Strip was arrested in the raid.
