On Friday dawn, a Palestinian died from serious wounds he suffered along with his cousin in early September of this year before they were abducted by the soldiers allegedly for being behind an attack on a bus transporting Israeli soldiers to a military base.

The Palestinian has been identified as Mohammad Maher Sa’id (Ghawadra), 17, from the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

He suffered serious burns to most of his body when he and his cousin, Mohammad Walid Ghawadra, 22, reportedly attacked, on September 4, the bus transporting Israeli soldiers to a military base with Molotov cocktails and fired many live rounds at it.

According to the army, one of the Molotov cocktail bottles ignited in their truck before they allegedly drove another kilometer and pulled over when their vehicle caught fire and continued on foot before Israeli soldiers abducted them.

Mohammad Maher Ghawadra. 17, remained in critical condition at the Tal HaShomer Israeli hospital due to burns that almost covered %90 of his body. The doctors treated him for severe wounds and amputated his left arm.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said Mohammad’s cousin was seriously injured in the incident.

An Israeli court ordered their continued detention at the medical center, awaiting trial before Mohammad Maher Ghawadra succumbed to his serious wounds.
