On Friday afternoon, Israeli soldiers injured 33 Palestinians during weekly processions against the illegal colonies in several areas of the Nablus governorate in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Emergency Departments of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said the soldiers caused 27 Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Beit Dajan, east of Nablus.
Jibril added that the soldiers also caused six Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Sbeih Mountain in Beita town, south of Nablus.
The soldiers also attacked protesters in Qaryout town, south of Nablus, and closed several streets.
Bashar Qaryouti, a local nonviolent activist against Israel’s illegal colonialist activities, said dozens of paramilitary colonizers invaded the Qaryout Spring area and surrounding lands.
He added that many soldiers accompanied the colonizers and fired live rounds and gas bombs at the Palestinians to force them to leave.
The Palestinians have been holding ongoing processions on their lands in Sbeih Mountain in Beita and in Beit Dajan after a group of illegal Israeli colonizers installed an outpost atop the Mountain.
The soldiers injured thousands of Palestinians during these protests and killed several others, including children.
The Mountain, owned by the Palestinians, has significant strategic importance, especially since if the colonizers occupied it, the colony would lead to the annexation of 20 Dunams of Palestinian lands and would also lead to the isolation of a large area of Palestinian lands.
