On Sunday dawn, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers infiltrated Sinjil town, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and burnt a home as the family slept before the father rushed his four children and his wife out to safety.
Media sources said the home is on the outskirts of Huwwara, an issue that made it easily accessible to the colonizers who firebombed the home as the family slept.
Ahmad Maher Awashra said he woke up to crackling in the kitchen, immediately took his children out of their beds, and rushed out of the property with his wife before the fire spread.
While the family was not physically hurt, the children suffered severe anxiety attacks after seeing the fire and being rushed out of their home.
He added that several young men heard and saw the colonizers running away after setting the house ablaze.
Over the past several years, the colonizers have burnt and tried to burn many homes, mosques, and churches in several parts of occupied Palestine, in addition to desecrating and destroying graves.
On July 31, 2015, paramilitary Israeli colonizers firebombed a Palestinian home in Douma village, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, killing Ali Saad Dawabsha, 18 months. His mother, Reham, father, Saad, and brother, Ahmad, were severely burned; his parents later died of their wounds.
