Illegal Israeli settlers uprooted, on Friday, at least 50 full grown olive trees in the southern occupied West Bank town of Al-Khader, southwest of Bethlehem, according to local sources.
Hasan Breijiyya, the head of the Bethlehem office of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, said in a press statement, that Israeli colonists from the illegal “Efrat” settlement, uprooted 50 olive trees, which are the property of the Palestinian Mahmoud Yaqoub Da’ud.
In related news, illegal colonial settlers invaded, on Friday, the Ain al-Sultan refugee camp, northwest of Jericho, in the northeastern part of the West Bank, according to security sources.
Occupation soldiers, providing full security to the illegal settlers, accompanied them during the incursion into the camp.
Sources added that the colonizers performed Talmudic rituals in the area, which triggered protests among the local youths who confronted the soldiers and settlers, throwing rocks at armored military vehicles.
There were no reports of any injuries.
