The Israeli army abducted at least seven Palestinian young men, and assaulted an activist, during military incursions into various parts of the occupied West Bank, local sources reported.
Israeli forces abducted, on Thursday, former prisoner Muhammad Fathi al-Khatib, when he was passing through a military roadblock near Jenin, in the northern occupied west Bank.
Soldiers stationed at the “Dotan” military roadblock, in Ya’bad town, west of Jenin, abducted Alaa Hanaysha, as he attempted to pass through.
According to Eid Brahma, the head of the Jericho chapter of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society, occupation forces abducted a recently released prisoner, Abdullah Nasser al-Hinnawi, at the Hamra military roadblock in the northern Jordan Valley, in the northeastern West Bank.
In the central part of the West Bank, Israeli soldiers invaded and searched, at dawn Thursday, the home of Yahya Asaad Sheikh Omar, 24, in Bruqin town, west of Salfit, according to Faed Sabra, the mayor of the town.
On Thursday morning, a large military force, accompanied by a bulldozer, stormed Beit Rima town, northwest of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.
Sources said that soldiers damaged and seized a vehicle, invaded and searched the homes of Anas Ihsan Al-Rimawi, 21, and Ahmed Karam Al-Rimawi, 20, before abducting them.
Local Palestinian youths protested the incursion, which soldiers responded to by firing rubber-coated steel rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades.
There were no reports of any injuries.

Furthermore, on Thursday afternoon, the army assaulted and abducted a Palestinian activist at the entrance of al-Tuwana village, in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.
Local activist, Osama Makhamra said that soldiers stopped the vehicle of Muhammad Hafez al-Harini, near the entrance to the village, and proceeded to assault and abduct him.
