For the 226th consecutive day, the Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression and shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip, from Beit Lahia in the north to Rafah in the south, leaving dozens of Palestinians killed and wounded. Since Saturday, according to local sources, 83 Palestinians have been killed.

A correspondent with the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that the Israeli warplanes targeted the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, in conjunction with artillery shelling on the Sheikh Zayed area, Qleibo Hill, and the town of Beit Lahia.

Three civilians were killed and 7 others were wounded in an airstrike by a warplane on a house belonging to the Shaheen family in Al-Tufah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and they were transferred to the Baptist Hospital in the city (the location of a massive Israeli airstrike back in October that killed 500 people who were sheltering at the hospital).

Three civilians were killed and others were wounded in shelling on a school housing displaced people in Al-Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City, who were taken to the city’s Baptist Hospital.

20 civilians were killed and others were injured as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted a house belonging to the Hassan family in the new camp north of Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, and were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Local sources pointed out that helicopter gunships fired east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, in conjunction with a raid in the center of Rafah, and fired shells from the occupation gunboats towards the coast of the Rafah Sea.

Israeli artillery shelled several areas in the east and center of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

More than 630,000 people have fled Rafah since May 6 amid a widening ground invasion by Israel’s military, with many seeking refuge in Al-Mawasi and Deir al-Balah — areas overcrowded with “dire conditions” — according to the United Nations.

The Israeli occupation has continued its aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since the seventh of last October, resulting in the death of 35,386 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 79,366 others, in an indefinite toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble.
