Israeli forces demolished, on Wednesday, a residential building in Sur Baher, while a Palestinian family demolished their own homes in Silwan town, occupied Jerusalem. The army also demolished an under construction home in the town of Ethna, west of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem (Silwanic) reported that the citizen Ahmad Naaman Al-Abbasi and his son Zaid were forced to demolish their homes in Silwan town, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
It added that the father and son demolished their two houses in the Suweih neighborhood of Silwan town, after the Israeli municipality ordered their destruction under the pretext of building without a permit.
The family has reportedly paid the Israeli Municipality 130,000 shekels in fines for the now destroyed homes which measured a total area of 160 square meters.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces demolished a residential building owned by a local citizen in the town of Sur Baher, in occupied Jerusalem, on Wednesday morning.
Silwanic reported that the army stormed Sur Baher town accompanied by heavy equipment, before demolishing a residential building, consisting of four apartments, owned by the citizen Fouad Awadallah.
The owner of the demolished building stated that the army invaded the building without any prior notification and refused to allow citizens to retrieve their belongings.
Furthermore, occupation forces demolished an under construction house in the Al-Ras neighborhood of Ethna town, west of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
The Ma’an News Agency reported that Israeli authorities demolished a house owned by the citizen Mohammad Hashim Al-Batran in Ethna town.
The Ethna Municipality reported that the army invaded the town accompanied by heavy equipment and proceeded to demolish the house, refusing again to allow the family to remove their belongings.
