On Friday, Day 406 of the ongoing genocide, the army continued bombing various parts of the coastal enclave, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.

Late Friday night, the army fired missiles at homes near Mosab ibn Umayr Mosque in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, killing many Palestinians, including children.

In Gaza City, the army fired shells at the Al-Karama neighborhood, north of the city, killing four Palestinians and causing many injuries.

The soldiers also fired a missile at a home in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of the city, killing at least two Palestinians and wounding many others.

Additionally, an Israeli army sharpshooter killed a young man while he was trying to leave northern Gaza and head to the central part of the coastal region.

Medical sources said the young man bled to death after the soldiers targeted an ambulance crew trying to reach him. The medics were later allowed to take him, and they transferred his corpse to the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah.

In Rafah, in Gaza’s southernmost part, Palestinian medics recovered the corpses of four slain Palestinians from neighborhoods in the eastern part of the city.

In addition, a member of the Dhahir family was killed, and another was injured when Israeli forces bombed a group of civilians near the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Khirbet Al-Adas, north of Rafah in southern Gaza.

Moreover, 18-year-old Hanan Abu Tilkh was killed in an airstrike targeting the Abu Al-Hussain family’s home in northeast Rafah.

Several individuals sustained injuries when Israeli forces struck a gathering in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

More than seven Palestinians were killed, and many injured, when the army fired a shell at a tent housing displaced Palestinians near Othman Bin Affan Mosque in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis.

The medics transferred them to the Nasser Medical Center and the field hospital of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis is a sandy region lacking even the most basic life necessities.

Approximately 1.7 million citizens live there, forced by the Israeli occupation to relocate under the pressure of bombardment and gunfire.

Most of these individuals fled to Al-Mawasi during the ground invasion of Rafah city last May, when the occupation army falsely claimed it to be a “safe zone.” Many massacres were committed in the area as the occupation forces targeted tents sheltering displaced families, leading to dozens of casualties.

In related news, Israeli authorities released 20 detainees through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

The released individuals were transferred to the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Yunis. Most of them had been detained from hospitals and areas in the northern Gaza Strip.

The detainees include Abdul Rahman Ahmad, Ashraf Abdullah Mohammed Abu Mohadi, Ghassan Saeed Zaki Al-Dahnoun, Adham Mohammed Abdul Karim Abu Sheekian, Bilal Raed Hussein Abu Jarada, Mahmoud Youssef Mohammed Al-Najjar, Alaa Ahmed Ali Jihad, Rafiq Abdul Karim Ibrahim Abu Shehda, Abdul Rahman Khaled Khalil Al-Shaltawi, Khaled Salman Jumaa Shahin, Abdul-Halim Youssef Mohammed Abdullah, Omar Hosni Mohammed Salha, Ahmed Mahmoud Abdul Rahman Jihad, Abdul Majeed Hassan Abdul Majeed Youssef, Jaafar Rafiq Ahmed Abu Al-Mazza, Atta Fuad Atta Sharafi, Eyad Ghazi Abdullah Farajallah, and Nasr Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Ajrami.

In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, the army wired and detonated many homes and buildings in the western parts of the Jabalia refugee camp.

It is worth mentioning that, while the army bombarded various parts of the destroyed Gaza Strip, the bombing and shelling were mainly focused on Beit Lahia and Jabalia in northern Gaza, Tal Al-Hawa, Rimal, and Zeitoun neighborhoods in Gaza City, and the Shaboura neighborhood in Rafah.

Medical sources said the army killed at least 37 Palestinians on Friday and wounded more than 120, in addition to many Palestinians who remain under the rubble or in areas the medics were unable to reach due to destruction and constant bombing.

The preliminary death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has reached 43,764, and 103,490 wounded.

Among the slain Palestinians are at least 17,385 children, 11,891 women, 2,421 elderly people, 183 journalists, 85 emergency responders, 1,054 medical staff, 496 education staff, and 203 UNRWA staff.

Reports also indicate that thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble or in the streets, where it is impossible to reach them due to the ongoing bombing.
