Israeli forces assassinated a Palestinian young man, on Thursday, near the Huwwara military roadblock, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank. The army also injured several other citizens after storming the towns of Qusra and Madama, south of Nablus.
Media sources said that occupation forces opened fire at a young man, while he was driving in the vicinity of the Huwwara military roadblock, on Thursday morning.
Hours later, sources announced that the young man, Issa Riyad Issa Jabali, 28, succumbed to his gunshot wounds; he was a resident of Beita town, south of Nablus.
After shooting the young man with live ammunition, Israeli soldiers denied him medical treatment, and left him bleeding on the ground before confiscating his body.
For its part, the Israeli media reported that occupation forces shot the young man under the pretext that “the suspect was neutralized after moving suspiciously toward the forces.”
The Times of Israel reported that occupation soldiers shot and killed the so-called “suspect” and detained his body, while the Arab 48 News website reported that the army executed the young man under the alleged pretext of attempting to carry out a car-ramming attack.
In related news, occupation forces assassinated the young man, Khaled Mustafa Amer, 23, during an ambush operation, on Wednesday, in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood of the Nur Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarem city in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
According to the Shireen Observatory, occupation forces have killed 48 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including 5 children, 2 women, and 2 elderly citizens, since the beginning of Israel’s “Iron Wall” assault against the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas, on January 21.
According to the available information, Israeli forces have killed 25 Palestinians in Jenin, 11 in Tubas, 9 in Tulkarem, and 3 in Nablus, withholding the bodies of 9 slain citizens.
In the same context, Israeli forces invaded a number of villages in the Nablus governorate, injuring several Palestinian citizens.
Media sources said that occupation forces stormed Madama village, south of Nablus, on Thursday afternoon, amid intense firing of live rounds and tear gas canisters, causing many citizens to suffer inhalation injuries.
According to Fouad Hassan, a local anti-settlement activist said that the army invaded the village of Qusra, southeast of Nablus, deployed large forces in the village and its entrances, occupying the rooftops of citizens’ homes.
Hassan added that occupation soldiers opened heavy fire with live ammunition and tear gas canisters, causing several Palestinians to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Quds News Network reported that Israeli forces stormed the village of Odala, south of Nablus; there were no reports of any injuries.
