Three Palestinians were injured late Sunday night, one seriously, after the Israeli army carried out a drone strike in the Tulkarem refugee camp, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

WAFA correspondent reported that a large explosion, followed by heavy live fire was heard near the northern entrance of the Tulkarem refugee camp.


The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported a woman and her husband to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital for treatment.

The PRCS reported that the woman sustained serious injuries throughout her body as a result of shrapnel from the explosion, while her husband sustained less severe shrapnel injuries.


Medical sources said that three citizens suffered shrapnel injuries, all of whom were deemed in stable condition after arriving at hospital.


In related news, the army abused Palestinian citizens trying to retrieve their belongings from their homes in the Tulkarem refugee camp, on Sunday afternoon.

Media sources said that occupation forces detained Palestinians, searching, interrogating, and abusing them, while they attempted to recover their belongings from their homes which are threatened with demolition.

WAFA correspondent reported that the army obstructed residents’ entry to the camp, stopping and searching them, and inspecting their ID’s.

The occupation army has continued its military siege and offensive in Tulkarem city and the Tulkarem refugee camp for 161 consecutive days, and the Nur Shams refugee camp for 148 consecutive days.

Media sources said that the Israeli aggression has resulted in the forced displacement of more than 25,000 residents from the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps.

The sources added that the occupation army has demolished 600 homes and damaged more than 2,500 others in the two camps.
