Dozens of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded, on Tuesday, the archaeological site in the town of Sebastia, northwest of Nablus in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.

The head of the Sebastia Municipality, Mohammad Azem, stated that large groups of colonizers stormed the historic site while Israeli soldiers deployed extensively throughout the area to secure the invasion.

In a related development, Israeli occupation forces invaded the city of Nablus and spread across the vicinity of the Old City and the commercial market.

Media sources reported that several military patrols invaded the area, accompanied by infantry units that deployed widely around the Old City and the surrounding markets. No abductions were reported at the time of writing.

Sebastia continues to face repeated invasions by colonizers and Israeli forces, particularly in the archaeological zone, as part of ongoing attempts to impose control over the historic site and erase its Palestinian identity.

Nablus, meanwhile, is subjected to near‑daily invasions by Israeli forces, which include home invasions, military deployments in residential neighborhoods, and incursions into the Old City.
