On Friday, illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers assaulted an elderly Palestinian man with an amputated leg in the Southern Hebron Hills, in Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

Media activist Osama Makhamra reported that colonizers came from the illegal outpost of “Avigail,” illegal built on stolen Palestinian land in the Masafer Yatta area.

Makhamra added that the colonizer attacked 70-year-old Sa’id Al-Amour in Khirbet ar-Rakeez while he was tending to his land near his home.

The colonizers beat the man and shattered his crutch which he relies on after losing his leg to gunfire from an illegal colonizer four months ago.

Al-Amour sustained bruises before Palestinian medics provided first aid and  transferred him to Yatta Governmental Hospital for treatment.

In a separate incident, Israeli occupation forces abducted Palestinian citizen Ibrahim Mahmoud Dababsa from the town of Nuba, northwest of Hebron, after storming and ransacking his home.

On Thursday evening, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers launched an assault on the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
