On Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, day 691 of Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, residents of the besieged, starved, and devastated Gaza Strip continue to endure a deepening famine amid relentless Israeli bombardment. In the past 24 hours, Israeli forced killed over 70 Palestinians, 11 of whom were killed while trying to obtain aid at the US corporate-run ‘aid’ sites, which are essentially gladiator-style arenas where Palestinians are forced to fight each other for small amounts of food, as the population continues to starve with no access to food aid.

Medical sources announced the starvation deaths of 10 citizens, including two children, during the past 24 hours. The total number of victims of famine and malnutrition rose to 313 in Gaza, including 119 children, mainly in the past four months.

Every moment, new cases of malnutrition and famine reach hospitals in Gaza, where 900,000 children in Gaza suffer from hunger, 70,000 of whom have entered the stage of malnutrition.

At Al-Helou International Hospital in Gaza City, 3 babies share a single incubator due to lack of space, supplies & their increasing malnutrition:

Right now there are 17,000 children suffering from acute malnutrition, and hospitals do not have medical beds and medicines sufficient for the huge number of people suffering from acute malnutrition.

Israeli forces killed Yaqub and Luay Abu Jarad along with their parents, in a bomb dropped on their tent:

Journalist Ihab Hassan reported: Jouri Lafi, just 4 years old, was killed today by an Israeli airstrike in Khan Yunis, Gaza.

Her parents hold Jouri’s body and grieve for the child:

The young man Ahmad Alaa Al-Batniji passed away due to malnutrition, after being deprived of the corn flour necessary for his nutrition because of his wheat allergy and the continuation of the siege on Gaza. This painful incident reflects the magnitude of the humanitarian tragedy and the shortage of food and medicine in the sector:

Gaza City Forced Displacement:

The Israeli military is pushing deeper into Gaza City, destroying entire neighborhoods and leaving Palestinian families with nowhere safe to go.

In the Sabra neighborhood, heavy gunfire accompanies the advance of Israeli tanks, trapping residents under relentless shelling and causing numerous casualties.

Journalist Youssef Fares reports about the forced displacement of residents in Gaza’s Al-Saftawi neighborhood as families face relentless Israeli threats, leaving them with no choice but to flee.

A local source documented the moment an Israeli airstrike leveled an entire area of Gaza City. The intensity of the attack was such that even animals were not spared.

Since the beginning of the war, Israeli strikes have targeted extensive infrastructure across the Strip, leaving widespread destruction, including to buildings, wildlife, and the natural environment.

A message to the Israeli Military from Gaza City: We Are Not Leaving

I am Yousri Alghoul, a Palestinian writer, journalist, and civilian like the vast majority of Gaza’s population today, if not all of them, since you have already killed the fighters and their families.
I did not displace to the south of Gaza before, and I will not flee today. I will remain in what’s left of my house, much of which has already been destroyed. I simply can’t walk 40 kilometers on foot while there is no transportation left. You’ve destroyed the cars, buses, and trucks, even the animal-drawn carts.
I cannot carry gallons of water, household items, books, clothes, bedding, and some food just to live in the open under a sky swarming with your warplanes — the same drones and planes that don’t distinguish between a child or a woman — and sit there awaiting my death, as you have done to hundreds of my people every single day.
However, you kill in every brutal way imaginable: Snipers at the gates of American aid (GHF), shelling of civilian houses, burning tents, or burying children alive beneath the rubble.
That is why I have decided to stay, to resist.
Even if your artillery continues raining bloodshed on innocent people in the streets and homes.
Even if it costs me my life.
You show no regard for any human life other than your own. You are filled with a deep hatred for others, even our Christian brethren, and Judaism, like all true religions, is innocent of what you do.
I will not displace to anywhere. Do what you will.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The genocide has left 62,819 killed, 158,629 wounded, most of them children and women, with more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has killed 313 citizens, including 119 children, as of today.
