On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers assaulted a Palestinian man in Beit Imrin village, north of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, causing various cuts and bruises.

Media sources said several Israeli military jeeps invaded the village before the soldiers stopped a 61-year-old man and repeatedly assaulted him.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics treated the man and moved him to a hospital in Nablus for further checkups.

During the invasion, the soldiers fired several gas bombs and concussion grenades, in addition to closing streets.

Also Saturday evening, Israeli occupation forces opened fire with live ammunition, stun grenades, and toxic tear gas at Palestinian civilians near the main entrance of Ethna town, west of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

The attack occurred near a military roadblock adjacent to the colonial Route 35; no injuries were reported at the time.

Israeli forces also detained several civilians at the town’s entrance, including a young woman with disabilities. The detainees were held for approximately an hour, during which their identity documents were inspected before they were released.
