Palestinian journalist Bisan Owda revealed that her TikTok account, which had 1.4 million followers built over four years, was permanently deleted this week. She expressed frustration, saying she expected a temporary restriction but not a full ban, especially following recent interviews of Netanyahu talking about the platform.
The company’s new policy reportedly classifies the term “Zionist” as a protected attribute when used in a derogatory context, with violations treated as hate speech.
Despite the ban, Owda stressed that her work will continue, sharing her message through alternative platforms and tools to reach diverse audiences. She stated that truth cannot be hidden by such measures, and vowed to rebuild her presence elsewhere.
According to Cybernews, “users are understandably anxious over the future of TikTok since its American branch, TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC, is controlled by a consortium of US businesses that include Trump allies. The deal was finalized last week.”
The Dissident reported in late 2025, “As of late, Larry Ellison, his son David Ellison, and Oracle have been buying up a media empire in order to spread pro-Israel propaganda to an American audience.
“Larry Ellison’s son, David Ellison, is equally devoted to Israel as his father.
“An article in the Jerusalem Post quoted sources close to David Ellison who said he ‘loves Israel, has Zionist values, and quietly donates quite a bit to the State of Israel and the IDF’”.
“Recently, David Ellison’s production company, Skydance, bought Paramount, the parent company of CBS News.” Soon after, Ellison installed the Zionist propaganda writer Bari Weiss as ‘Editor in Chief’ of CBS, and she immediately began censoring content about Palestine.
The Times of Israel reported about Larry Ellison in 2025, following the news of TikTok US being bought by Ellison, “He has donated millions to Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, among other Israel-related causes, and is reportedly close to Netanyahu. He says his affinity for Israel comes from his appreciation for the country’s record of tech innovation and resilience.”
