Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers destroyed Palestinian agricultural land on Wednesday in two separate areas, releasing cattle onto wheat and barley fields in Khirbet Samra in the northern Jordan Valley, and cutting more than 70 olive trees along with dozens of evergreen forest trees in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
Local sources in Khirbet Samra, in the northern Jordan Valley, said colonizers released their cattle into cultivated farmland, damaging large areas of crops.
The community has faced a sharp escalation in attacks since the beginning of the month, after colonizers installed an outpost near residents’ homes and began using it as a base for daily assaults that include attacking homes, assaulting residents, chasing shepherds, and destroying crops.
In a related development, human rights activist Aref Daraghma said Israeli occupation forces issued a notice ordering the removal of an internet network pole in the al‑Burj community. The pole supports surveillance cameras used by residents to document colonizer attacks.
In Masafer Yatta, activist Osama Makhamra reported that armed colonizers from the colony of Susiya invaded the Eghzeiwa area and cut more than 70 olive trees along with dozens of evergreen trees.
Makhamra added that the colonizers also destroyed a fence surrounding land owned by Zohair Fansha and spray‑painted racist slogans on an agricultural room belonging to him.
Also on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian young man, in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, while illegal colonizers attacked and wounded a number of citizens in the Nablus and Ramallah governorates.
