The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza reported on Tuesday that five Palestinians were killed and fourteen others were injured during the past twenty‑four hours as a result of ongoing Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip.

Hospitals in the enclave continue to receive casualties despite the declared “ceasefire framework,” while emergency crews remain unable to reach many targeted areas due to the destruction of roads and the continued presence of Israeli forces.

Medical teams said that a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed homes or lying in the streets, where ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them because of the collapse of rescue infrastructure and the danger posed by ongoing military activity.

The Ministry emphasized that the figures released each day represent only those who manage to reach medical facilities, while the true number of casualties is likely higher.

Since the “ceasefire” announcement on October 11, the Ministry has documented a total of 709 Palestinians killed and 1,928 injured, in addition to 756 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble during the same period. These figures reflect the continued impact of Israeli attacks despite the declared halt in large‑scale operations.

The cumulative toll since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, has now reached 72,285 Palestinians killed and 172,028 injured. Health officials stressed that these numbers do not include thousands of missing people believed to be buried under collapsed buildings or stranded in areas rescue teams cannot access.

The Ministry reiterated that the humanitarian and medical situation in Gaza remains catastrophic.  Hospitals are operating far beyond capacity, facing severe shortages of essential medicines, fuel, and equipment.

Thousands of displaced families continue to shelter in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions, contributing to the spread of disease and further straining the already‑collapsed health system.

Civil defense teams continue to warn that many neighborhoods remain inaccessible, leaving unknown numbers of victims unrecovered.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza issued its latest update on March 31, 2026, underscoring that the ongoing collapse of emergency services and the continued bombardment have made it impossible to provide accurate real‑time assessments of the full scale of casualties across the Gaza Strip.
