Israeli occupation forces continued their invasions, home break‑ins, and abductions across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, targeting communities in Tubas, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Hebron, and occupied Jerusalem.
The operations involved military deployments, the use of tear gas, and the ransacking of civilian property, leaving widespread fear and disruption among Palestinian residents.
In Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted a young man from the town of Tammun.
Kamel Bani Odah, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society office in Tubas, stated that the army abducted Rayyan Fathi Bani Odah after summoning him for interrogation at the Salem military roadblock.
In Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Al‑Khader, south of the city, chased a child near the Al‑Balou’ area along the main road leading to the Old Town, assaulted him, and abducted him. His identity was not immediately known.
In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, troops stormed the town of Al‑Mughayyer from the eastern side and spread throughout multiple neighborhoods, including the An‑Naqqar and Ath‑Thaher areas, before advancing westward.
Soldiers fired large quantities of tear gas toward residential homes, causing numerous cases of suffocation among residents.
Forces also positioned themselves near homes belonging to the Abu Jabr family while firing illumination rounds over the area, heightening tension among civilians.
Al‑Mughayyer has been subjected to repeated invasions involving confrontations and attacks on residents and property.
Israeli forces also invaded the nearby village of Abwein and the town of Sinjil, both north of Ramallah. Troops spread through the streets of Abwein without reported abductions, while military vehicles moved through Sinjil in a show of force.
These areas, including Turmus Ayya, have experienced intensified invasions in recent weeks, often accompanied by attacks on homes and property.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Ethna, broke into several homes, searched them, and damaged their contents.
Soldiers also smashed the windows of multiple vehicles and stormed the local Zakat Committee headquarters. The army then abducted Ghaleb Tamimi, his son Assem, and Sufyan Al‑Tamimi, while detaining others who were inside the building before closing it with a military order.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces abducted Essam Mohammad Shalludi after invading his home in the Suwwana neighborhood of Silwan, south of the Al‑Aqsa Mosque. Troops searched the house and tampered with its contents before abducting him.
Earlier Wednesday, Israeli forces carried out widespread invasions across the occupied West Bank at dawn on Wednesday, breaking into homes, abducting Palestinians, and imposing movement restrictions in several districts, including Nablus, Jenin, Qalqilia, Bethlehem, Jericho, and Tubas.
