A Palestinian man was injured on Thursday evening after illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked his vehicle between the village of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, east of Nablus in northern West Bank, and the city of Salfit, in the central occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the victim, identified as Amjad Ahmad Al-Hindi, a man in his fifties, was struck in the head with a stone after a group of colonizers ambushed and attacked the vehicle he was traveling in while passing through the Wadi Al-Sha’er area, located between Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya and Salfit.
Medical crews transported Al-Hindi to a nearby hospital, where medical staff described his condition as stable.
The attack comes amid a continued escalation in colonizer violence across the occupied West Bank, where armed groups of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers—often operating under military protection—have intensified assaults on Palestinian civilians, homes, vehicles, and agricultural areas.
Shortly after midnight, Thursday, a group of Israeli colonizers invaded the village of Harmala, southeast of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, and assaulted Palestinian residents, injuring two.
Human rights groups have documented hundreds of colonizer attacks since the beginning of the year, including assaults that resulted in injuries, property destruction, and forced displacement of entire communities.
The Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission has repeatedly warned that colonizer violence is part of a systematic effort to expand colonies and restrict Palestinian movement, particularly in areas surrounding Salfit, Nablus, and the central West Bank corridor.
The Commission added that these attacks frequently occur near military roadblocks or in areas where the army maintains full control, enabling colonizers to act with impunity.
Thursday’s assault is one of several incidents reported this week in the Salfit governorate, where colonizers have intensified attempts to block Palestinian access to roads and agricultural lands, especially during evening hours.
