Three Palestinians were killed and several others were critically wounded on Thursday after Israeli occupation drones carried out multiple strikes west of Gaza City, as humanitarian agencies warned of a deepening public‑health crisis across the besieged Strip.
Local reporters confirmed that Israeli quadcopter drones launched several missiles around Haidar Roundabout, west of Gaza City, killing three Palestinians and injuring others, some of them in critical condition.
Medical teams said the number of wounded may rise due to the severity of the strikes and the difficulty of reaching the area.
In a separate incident, an Israeli quadcopter opened fire toward homes east of Deir al‑Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
The latest strikes and health warnings come as Gaza enters another day of severe humanitarian deterioration, with families facing escalating violence, disease outbreaks, and the near‑total collapse of essential services.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) issued a stark warning on Thursday, reporting that rats are biting children inside displacement tents during the night.
The agency said the collapse of sanitation systems, overcrowded shelters, and the lack of clean water have created conditions in which disease is spreading rapidly.
UNRWA stated that it is working with the World Health Organization and local partners to monitor rising cases of skin infections and other illnesses linked to the spread of rats, lice, fleas, and mites.

The agency called for the urgent entry of pesticides, medicines, and additional tents into Gaza, noting that Israel continues to restrict humanitarian supplies.
Health authorities in Gaza reported that hospitals received nine Palestinians killed in the past 24 hours, including six newly killed and three who died from previous wounds, along with 39 injured.

Since the “ceasefire” declared on October 11, 2025, the total number of Palestinians killed has risen to 846, with 2,418 injured and 769 bodies recovered from destroyed areas.
The cumulative toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,628 killed and 172,520 injured. Civil defense teams say many victims remain under the rubble and on roads, unreachable due to ongoing Israeli fire and the collapse of rescue capabilities.
