Israeli occupation forces continued their violations of the “ceasefire” agreement for the 232nd consecutive day late Thursday night and early Friday, launching a series of airstrikes and drone attacks across the Gaza Strip that killed three Palestinians, wounded many and caused extensive destruction in civilian areas.

Medical sources at Nasser Medical Center in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, reported that three Palestinians were killed and others were injured when an Israeli drone bombed a Palestinian police point near the Mawasi Khan Younis area in the southern Gaza Strip.

Two of the slain Palestinians were identified as Mohammad Osama al‑Dada and Hussam Mazen Sharab, whose bodies, along with the wounded, were transferred to Nasser Medical Center.

Local sources said Israeli drones also targeted the vicinity of the slaughterhouse area in the Mawasi Khan Younis region, striking another police point and causing additional destruction.

The attacks were part of a continued pattern of Israeli strikes on the Mawasi belt, an area designated by Israel as a supposed “safe zone” for displaced civilians.

In the Mawasi al‑Qarara area northwest of Khan Younis, an Israeli strike hit agricultural land near greenhouses and a storage structure belonging to Habis al‑Astal.

Several civilians were injured, and the bombardment caused extensive damage to agricultural facilities.

Civil Defense teams later reported that they were battling a fire that broke out in tents sheltering displaced families following the strike.

In Gaza City, an Israeli reconnaissance drone fired a missile directly at Abdullah Ashraf Abdul‑Wahhab, known locally as “al‑Sheikh,” near the Imam al‑Shafi’i Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, killing him instantly.

The same neighborhood had been targeted hours earlier when an Israeli airstrike killed one Palestinian and wounded two others.

At dawn Friday, Israeli aircraft bombed commercial warehouses on al‑Yarmouk Street in central Gaza City, wounding five Palestinians and causing significant structural damage.

In the Shati’ Refugee Camp west of Gaza City, Israeli warplanes destroyed an entire residential block after issuing evacuation orders to the residents, leaving dozens of families without shelter, and deepening the displacement crisis in the besieged enclave.

In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes bombed the vicinity of Al‑Aqsa Hospital in Deir al‑Balah shortly after the facility had been evacuated of patients and displaced families.

Minutes later, Israeli aircraft struck the home of Talal Abu Mansi in the Abu Mansi neighborhood south of the hospital, flattening the house and causing further destruction in the surrounding area.

Netanyahu Orders Expansion of Military Control in Gaza

In a further challenge to the ceasefire framework, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Thursday that he had ordered the army to expand the areas under its control in the Gaza Strip to 70 percent of the enclave’s total area.

His statement underscored Israel’s continued military operations and territorial expansion inside Gaza despite the declared ceasefire, and came amid ongoing bombardments, demolitions, and restrictions on movement and humanitarian aid.

Health Ministry: Rising Toll Despite Ceasefire

In its Thursday update, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza reported that hospitals in the Strip had received at least sixteen Palestinians killed and thirty‑nine wounded over the previous forty‑eight hours as a result of ongoing Israeli attacks.

The Ministry said that since the “ceasefire” was announced on October 11, 2025, it has documented 922 Palestinians killed, 2,786 wounded, and 781 bodies recovered from destroyed areas.

The Ministry added that the cumulative toll since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,819 Palestinians killed and 172,894 wounded.

Medical authorities stressed that the actual figures are likely higher due to the scale of destruction, the lack of medical equipment and supplies, and the inability of rescue teams to reach many devastated areas where victims remain under the rubble or in zones cut off by ongoing military operations.
