A Palestinian man was shot and wounded, on Tuesday at dawn, after Israeli soldiers opened fire at him at a military roadblock near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.Israeli army sources reported that the man, from Habla village, near Qalqilia, was in an Israeli car along with two other residents.
The army claims that the vehicle was stolen and that its driver attempted to break through the roadblock while being chased by an Israeli police vehicle from Kfar Saba.
Soldiers at the roadblock stated that the driver, and two others who accompanied him, stepped out of the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene.
Soldiers then shot and wounded one of them, detained the other, while the third managed to escape the scene apparently unharmed.
