Four Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Saturday, August 29, in a series of Israeli ceasefire violations across the Gaza Strip, medical sources in Gaza said. The incidents were reported in Khan Younis, Rafah, Gaza City, the Jabalia refugee camp, the Bureij refugee camp and Deir al-Balah. Israeli military vehicles also made a limited advance near al-Musaddar, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
In southern Gaza, Yasser Abu al-Khair was killed and several others were injured after an Israeli drone strike targeted Khan Younis on Saturday evening. Another Palestinian was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the al-Satr al-Gharbi area of the city.
Israeli forces also targeted civilians near the al-Ard al-Tayyiba area in Khan Younis, injuring several people, one of them critically. Medical crews transported the wounded to hospitals for treatment. Israeli artillery also shelled an area northwest of Rafah.
In a separate incident in central Gaza, Israeli forces struck a medicine storage facility above the administration building of Al-Aqsa Hospital, injuring several civilians, including children.
In Gaza City, an Israeli aircraft targeted an electric bicycle in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of the city. The strike killed Raed Adel Mohammad Alian and Abdel Fattah Abu Aish and injured several others. The wounded were transferred to Al-Quds Hospital.
A young man was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the at-Tuwam area northwest of Gaza City.
In northern Gaza, Israeli gunfire wounded a child in the Jabalia refugee camp. In central Gaza, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of the Bureij refugee camp.
In al-Musaddar, east of Deir al-Balah, Israeli military vehicles shelled the area, killing farmer Mohammad Fayeq al-Attar. The attack coincided with a limited advance by Israeli military vehicles nearby.
Palestinian officials said Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip through aerial and artillery bombardment targeting areas sheltering displaced civilians, as well as through demolition operations inside the area known as the “Yellow Line.” Restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid and travel also remain in place.

The reported violations come as United Nations agencies renew warnings about deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza. In its Humanitarian Situation Report, dated August 28 and published on August 29, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that 58 percent of Gaza’s population faces severe deficiencies in shelter conditions, access to essential services and basic relief items.

The agency also warned that large areas of the territory remain inaccessible or subject to severe access restrictions, leaving civilians confined to overcrowded and insecure areas.
During an August 26 briefing to the UN Security Council, UN Acting Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Ramiz Alakbarov said that Palestinians in Gaza continue to endure “intolerable conditions and immense hardship” amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes, ground operations and humanitarian restrictions. He warned that humanitarian organizations continue to face significant challenges related to access, supplies and funding.
In its latest situation report issued on August 27, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said continued Israeli airstrikes have affected areas where civilians reside, hampering humanitarian operations and increasing risks to aid workers and civilian infrastructure.
The agency also reported mounting operational challenges linked to shortages of fuel, spare parts and other essential supplies needed to sustain humanitarian services.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that Gaza hospitals received 10 fatalities during the past 48 hours: nine newly reported deaths and one body recovered from beneath the rubble. The ministry also reported 18 injuries during the same period.
Health Ministry figures show that 1,315 Palestinians have been killed and 4,361 injured since the “ceasefire” took effect on October 10, 2025. The ministry also recorded 815 bodies recovered from beneath rubble during that period.
According to the ministry, the overall toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,449 Palestinians killed and 174,472 injured.
Health officials added that a number of victims remain trapped beneath rubble and in inaccessible areas, while ambulance and civil defense crews continue to face difficulties reaching them.
