The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, reported that one of its fighters was killed and another fighter was seriously injured, after being extra judicially targeted, Saturday after midnight, by Israeli army shells, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.Medical sources in Gaza stated that an Israeli fighter jet fired at least one missile at a group of fighters of the al-Qassam Brigades, stationed near Salah ed-Deen road, close to the as-Salaam Hospital in Khan Younis.
The Brigades identified the slain fighter as Suleiman al-Qarra, 22, and added that another fighter was seriously wounded.
They stated that its fighters also fired several shells at armored vehicles from the Israeli military who were invading an area east of Khan Younis.
Earlier on Saturday, several armored vehicles and bulldozers, invaded al-Qarara town, east of Khan Younis, firing dozens of rounds of live ammunition at random.
The army uprooted farmlands, and levelled structures while firing shells into the nearby areas; armed resistance groups clashed with them and fired several mortars.
