Seven Palestinian civilian were wounded on Wednesday when an Israeli unmanned warplane fired missiles at a residential area in Beit Lahyia town in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that among those injured were a 50-year-old man and two children who sustained moderate wounds.
Eyewitnesses said the strike hit a motorcycle. The attack came while Palestinian leaders from different political groups including Fatah and Hamas announced a unity deal during a press conference in Gaza City.
On Wednesday midday Palestinian delegation representing the PLO and Hamas officials announced the end of seven years division between the Hamas led Gaza – and the Fatah led West Bank.
During the press conference the leaders authorized the Palestinian presidents Mahmoud Abbas to start the process of forming a unity government and set a date for presidential and parliamentary elections.
In the West Bank, Israeli soldiers invaded several Palestinian communities, broke into dozens of homes and searched them, then kidnapped at least 14 Palestinians.
Local sources said that troops kidnapped six Palestinians and caused property damage while searching their homes from the village of Burka in northern West Bank. Two more Palestinians were taken by soldiers from the nearby Jenin city.
Five other men were kidnaped by Israeli troops during homes searches in the southern West Bank city of Hebron and nearby village, local sources reported.
Moreover a Palestinian youth was kidnaped by Israeli soldiers after searching his family homes in the southern west Bank city of Bethlehem.
