Palestinian Prime Minister Haniyah called all Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, Gaza and Pre-1948 Palestine, Thursday, to unify in prayer for the souls of some 230 Turkish miners who were killed in a disastrous explosion, last Tuesday. The accident happened about 2km into the mine, according to NTV television in Turkey, where rescue efforts were hindered due to the length of the tunnels.
Haniyah insisted on the strong historical relations between Turkey and Palestine, Al Ray reports, describing the two counties as one unified entity which can not be split apart.
“Their blood is ours,” he added referring to both the Turkish and Palestinian peoples.
