Two Palestinian civilians were injured on Monday evening during clashes between local youth and invading Israeli soldiers at the village of Beit Ummer in southern West Bank.
Local sources announced that two teenagers were taken to hospital after being hit by rubber-coated steel bullets fired by Israeli troops and many others were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Moreover at least four Palestinians were injured during clashes which erupted Monday, at dawn, in Deheishe refugee camp, to the south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces, after they broke into the camp. Soldiers fired live bullets, tear gas and stun grenades towards Palestinians youth, causing injury to four.
Meanwhile Israeli Forces raided al-Fara refugee camp in Nablus, overnight, detaining seven Palestinians, locals said. Witnesses reported at least 15 military jeeps and armored personnel carriers raiding the camp from several directions, upon which dozens of houses were broken into.
Late on Sunday night and Monday at dawn, Israeli forces abducted four Palestinians from different areas of the West Bank, while summoning others to appear for interrogation, according to local reports.
In other news Israeli sources have announced that authorities are planning to confiscate 4,000,000 m² of Palestinian-owned land near the illegal Gush Etzion settlement area in the southern part of the west Bank.
The area is located 3 km east of the Green Line, near Jaba’a village, and is surrounded by the Gush Etzion bloc and the Apartheid Wall.
Local sources said that the Israeli government has given the land owners 45 days to submit appeals against the court’s decision. Muhammad Ghuneimat, who is mayor of the nearby Palestinian town of Surif, told local press that Israeli forces posted signs in private olive orchards in the area, giving warning that they have been confiscated by the Israeli government.
