Israeli occupation authorities have imposed a full security cordon, beginning last night, on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, for the Jewish holiday of “Forgiveness”.
According to Israeli public radio, all Gaza crossings will be closed from today until Thursday night, except for emergency cases.
For his part, the director of the Kerem Shalom crossing said that the crossing is fully closed from today until Thursday, and that the closure also includes prevention of the entry of fuel, including cooking gas and power station fuel.
According to Al Ray, Israeli authorities also closed Beit Hanoun / Erez crossing, except for the humanitarian cases, the border crossings administration announced.
In this context, occupation authorities sealed off the West Bank and closed the neighborhoods of the annexed city of Jerusalem, as the Damascus Gate was closed to traffic, to make way for Jews to perform their prayers at the Western Wall.
Occupation authorities imposed a security cordon on the West Bank and Gaza in early October, also over the Jewish holidays, and then partially lifted it this week, reimposing it today for Yom Kippur.
