Ex Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said Wednesday that the government of Israel and the U.S. Administration are investing efforts to downplay their major differences concerning West Bank settlement blocks, saying there was no agreement that allows Israel to keep hold of settlement blocs, Israel radio report.
Barak also said that the disengagement is only one step, adding that “major concessions are still ahead of usâ€Â
Barak called for a second disengagement plan in the West bank in order to protect major settlement blocs.
Barak, who hopes to arrive back at the top of the Labor party leadership pyramid, warned that extreme right wing might move to assassinate a political Israeli figure or launch an attack against Haram Al-Sharif in an attempt to stop the implementation of the disengagement plan.
He called for using administrative detention against far-right leaders to ensure the implementation of the pullout. ÂÂ
