Friday at dawn, an Israeli military source reported that 13 soldiers were injured, 3 seriously when a military truck carrying troops flipped over near Har Dov area, along the Israeli-Lebanese borders.
The source stated that military helicopters and ambulances arrived at the scene and transferred the injured soldiers to Rebecca Sieff Hospital in Safad and Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
The accident took place at around 1:30 a.m, as a “Safari” military transport vehicle carrying soldiers on their way to a Sabbath (Saturday) vacation flipped over as it was exiting a military outpost”, army source said.
Two soldiers and a non-commissioned officer sustained serious wounds, three soldiers were moderately wounded, and six soldiers and an officer sustained minor injuries.
Apparently, the truck which was driving along the S’ion river canyon after exiting from the camp, slid on the roadside.
Army commander said that said that the accident is being probed to reveal its circumstances.
Six months ago, one Israeli soldier was killed; two lightly injured when their vehicle flipped over near the southern borders.
