Local sources and eyewitnesses reported that soldiers of an Israeli undercover unit invaded a number of neighborhoods in both West Bank cities of Beit Sahour and Bethlehem Monday morning, mainly in Al-karkafa and Al-eskan, after arresting two residents near the illegal settlement of Har Homa, east of the West Bank city of Beit Sahour, Palestine News Network reported.An Israeli military spokesperson claimed that a force of border guards uncovered two residents (16, 17),  who were from the Dehiesha refugee camp south of Bethlehem, near the settlement fence of Har Homa on their way to Jerusalem to carry out a suicide bombing. The soldiers fired live ammunition and arrested the two after the two hurled two Molotov bombs at the soldiers.

The army found two pipes bombs, two Molotov bombs and a flag that is said to be for Hamas.

Palestinian sources said that the Israeli army and border guards were deployed intensively Monday morning in the areas near the settlement of Har Homa

Two residents were arrested in the neighborhood of Al -karkafa in Bethlehem and were identified as Bilal and Omar Da’amsah.

Additionally, troops arrested three Palestinians before dawn on Monday. An Islamic Jihad man was arrested in Nablus, and two Hamas operatives were arrested in Ramallah .

In a separate incident, Israel Radio reported Monday morning that the Israeli army arrested a Palestinian who had managed to infiltrate southern Israel from the Gaza Strip, the radio reported.

 According to Israel Radio, the resident was carrying an explosives belt, firearms and grenades, and was arrested near Kibbutz Nir Am, located adjacent to Sderot in the western Negev region near the Gaza border.
