The Israeli army artillery shelled areas in the north and east of the Gaza Strip late on Tuesday night, local sources reported.

Shells hit Beit Lahia, Beit Hanon and the Al-Shagai’a area, causing panic among the residents. No damage to the residents’ houses nor injures were reported.

Attacks occur daily in the area, part of the Israeli army’s plan to create a seven-kilometer security zone north of the strip.
