Palestinian sources reported that approximately 2320 Palestinians imprisoned in the Israeli Negev detention facility announced on Friday morning a one day hunger strike in protest to the violations carried by the prison administration against them.

Prison administration also barred the detainees from watching Arabic TV channels since Wednesday morning, and only allowed them to watch Israeli channels.

The Palestine Media Center reported that additional army units and prison guards were deployed in the prison compound since Thursday morning.

Also, special units of the army stormed two branches in the facility and threatened to punish the detainees if they show any support to Hezbollah.

On Thursday afternoon, soldiers also attacked several rooms in Al Damoun, and Shatta detention facilities and fired tear gas.
