Friday evening, Israeli
soldiers surrounded and broke int Bethlehem Government Hospital, in
Beit Jala town, in Bethlehem district, broke into it and abducted an
injured fighter, Palestinian medical and security sources reported.

An employee at the hospital told the IMEMC that soldiers searched several rooms and are barring entry or exit from the hospital.

He was unable to give further details to the IMEMC during a phone interview because the army is
present near him and barring hospital officials from talking to anybody, even over phone.

The soldiers are apparently searching for residents who were injured after the army invaded the city, earlier on Friday.

Five residents were injured, among them one 16-year old youth who was seriously injured from a close range by Israeli military fire, and 12-year old child.
