Palestinian medical sources in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the
Gaza Strip reported that a 16-year old child was killed by Israeli
military fire. A 70-year old woman died of a heart attack, on Friday
evening, when a shell landed and detonated near her home in Gaza city.
Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, reported that Tha'er Al Masry, 16, was shot by a round of live ammunition in his head.
Local sources reported that soldiers operating in Al Shaima' area, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, fired at the child and at another resident who was also injured in the attack.
In a separate incident, a 70-year old woman died of a heart attack on Friday evening when a shell, fired by the Israeli air force, landed and exploded near her home, west of Gaza City.
The shell was one of several shells fired by the army at the headquarters of the Palestinian Executive Force that belongs to the Ministry of Interior.
The woman was identified as Dorsen Al Namnam, 70.
Earlier on Saturday, one resident identified as Sa'eed Hajuj, 20, was shot and killed by under-cover forces of the Israeli army in Beit Lahia.
