A report by AMNESTY International stated that Israel committed War Crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese people, and that the number of Palestinians who were killed by the army in 2006 was 650, including 170 children. The AMNESTY report also stated that 77 Israelis were killed in Palestinian attacks in the same year.

The report also slammed the Israeli Annexation Wall in the occupied West Bank, and the continuous settlement construction and expansion by annexing more Palestinian orchards.

These illegal activities, and the harsh siege imposed by Israel, had caused further deterioration of the economic situation in the Palestinian territories and caused increasing poverty.

The report further stated that soldiers and settlers are carrying illegal attacks, and killings against the Palestinian residents, while Israeli government remained idle regarding these violations.

Furthermore, the report indicated that Israel committed War Crimes in Lebanon by shelling its civilian areas with cluster bombs; 1700 civilians were killed and dozens of homes were destroyed, in addition to the massive destruction the Israeli shells caused to hospitals, bridges fuel and power stations and water pipelines.

The AMNESTY report stated that Israel carried collective punishment against the Lebanese civilians in order to force the Lebanese government carry acts against Hezbollah party, and added that using civilians as human shields or targeting them in any way to achieve military and strategic targets is a direct violation to the international law.
