The Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, reported on Monday that its fighters managed to shoot an Israeli soldier with a sniper-rifle in Khuza’a town, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. In a press release, the Brigades said that on Monday evening , a group of fighters monitored the movement of some Israeli soldiers based near a military base east of Khuza’a , and one fighter used his sniper-rifle and shot one of the soldiers inflicting direct injuries.
The fighters fled the scene unharmed, while Israeli sources did not issue any reports regarding this attack.
The brigades stated that this attack is a natural retaliation to the ongoing Israeli violations and attack against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, and added that it will continue its resistance until liberation.
Also, the Brigades issued another statement claiming responsibility for detonating a 55 kg. explosive near a military jeep at the border-line, east of Al Maghazi refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip.
The Brigades said that the attack took place on Monday at 9:10 P.M, and confirmed a direct hit. The army did not issue any report.
