The Leftist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) called on the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, and the leadership of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) to halt all meetings and talks with the Israeli side as Israel is still ongoing with its violations and attacks and refuses to recognize the Palestinian legitimate rights.
A spokesperson of the PFLP demanded the Executive Committee of the PLO and the Palestinian president to call on the Arab League to convene in order to discuss the escalating Israeli settlement activities in the occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank.
He added that Israel is acting to void any possibility of a contiguous Palestinian state and is isolating Jerusalem from the rest of the Palestinian areas.
The spokesperson also called on the national and political factions to unite their efforts in order to counter the Israeli violations and to stop the “meaningless talks with the Israeli side”. He also said that Palestinian issue should be under the supervision of the United Nations and its institutions instead of the American-Israeli monopoly.
He also stated that the Palestinian people have the right to resist the Israeli occupation until liberation, independence and until achieving the Right of Return of the Palestinian refugees.
