The Israeli army reported on Monday morning that Israeli soldiers shot and wounded a Palestinian man east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and moved him to an Israeli hospital. The resident, who remained unidentified, suffered moderate wounds.

The army said that soldiers saw the resident approach the electric fence, north of the Kissufim military base, and opened fire.

He was moved to the Soroka Israeli hospital in Be’er Shiva.
